CALL TO ORDER
ORDER OF BUSINESS
A. Decision on Commercial Insurance Renewal
Mr. John Sneed of Stewart, Sneed and Hewes, will present two options for commercial insurance renewal. The Superintendent recommends accepting the lower option.
B. Adoption of 2003-04 Year Budget and Budget Resolution
The Superintendent recommends adoption of the 2003-04 Year Budget and Budget Resolution.
C. Approval of Lease Purchase Amount
The Superintendent recommends approval of lease purchase in the amount of $257,000.00 to cover Tech Prep Modules, Band Instruments for the High School and Middle School and Computers for Technology.
D. Approval of Single Source for Tech Prep
The Superintendent recommends approval of single source items for high school tech prep lab upgrade
E. Approve Amount for Three-Mill Note Levy
The Superintendent recommends approval of the three-mill note levy.
F. Personnel
The Superintendent recommends employment of the following individuals for the 2003-04 school year
Non-Certified Staff
- Kelly Keel as teacher assistant at Reeves Elementary, replacing Brenda Wassman who is transferring to the position of elementary library assistant.
Certified Staff
- Kelly Garriga as elementary teacher at Reeves Elementary.
- Wendy Hertz as elementary classroom teacher at Reeves replacing Shonda Baggett who did not sign a contract.
- Scott Zink as Social Studies teacher at Long Beach Middle School for the 2003-04 school year.
- Cynthia Ware as Guidance Counselor at Long Beach Middle School for the 2003-04 school year.
- Christi Daughdrill Spinks as Principal of Reeves Elementary School, pending receipt of reference and background check
- Barbara Gay Spell as assistant Principal at Long Beach Middle School for the 2003-2004 year.
G. Adoption of Revised School Calendar for 2003-04 School Year and Approve Days for 240 Day Employees The Superintendent recommends adoption of the revised school calendar and the calendar for 240 days employees.
