Consent Agenda
The Superintendent recommends approval of the consent agenda which includes the following items:

E. Request to Add Courses to
The Superintendent recommends the following courses be added to the high school curriculum: 1) Zoology and Marketing; 2) Environmental Science to the Alternative School (High School Curriculum)
F. Revision to Policy JBC (Residence Verification-Transfers)
The Superintendent recommends revising
policy JBC by adding the following sentences to the end of the policy: Proof of Residency may be collected during
the last quarter of a school year for attendance during the following
year. Requests for updated proof of
residency may be made as deemed necessary.
G. Ratify Poll Votes of School Board
The Superintendent recommends ratifying the following poll votes of the school board

H. Requests to Offline Checks
The Superintendent recommends approval to off-line the following checks:
· to Gary Shockley of Bama Dog Sports $400 to pay for a program Harper McCaughan is having for the entire school because of the students’ efforts in preparation for the upcoming state test;
· to Long Beach Police Department $11,900 for the Resource Officer at the middle school for the months of November-March ($2380 per month)
· to Gary Shockley of Bama Dog Sports $400 from Reeves Activity Account. The activity is for a pre MCT test pep rally.
· to Audubon Nature Institute $102 for chaperones for 5th grade field trip on May 9th
I. Request to Have Extended School Year at
The Superintendent recommends approval to
hold Extended School Year at
J. Recommendation for 8th Grade Language Arts Program
The Superintendent recommends combining 8th
grade English and
K. Request to Set Up Athletic Scholarship
The Superintendent recommends we set up the Brian Cuevas Memorial “Heart of a Champion” Athletic Scholarship as proposed by his mother, Donna Cuevas.

The Superintendent recommends employing the following individuals
· the summer employment of Kenneth Perrone and Ryan Bourgeois in the technology department, beginning May 16, 2005 and ending August 19, 2005 at $8.00 per hour.
