The Superintendent recommends adopting a resolution of the Long Beach
School Board as alternative documentation for the E-Rate Funding Request for
funding year 2007-2008 in lieu of an approved budget.

The
Superintendent recommends approval of the consent agenda which includes the
following items:

The
Superintendent recommends the board accept donations triggered by Hurricane
Katrina to all schools in

to
The
Superintendent recommends approval of the following request to use school
facilities, pending verification of insurance:

Nar-Anon
to use Room H31 at Long Beach High School for its meetings every other Monday
beginning in February, 2007
F. Adoption of Policy
The
Superintendent recommends adopting the amended School Board Policy IDCH – Correspondence Courses and Online
Courses which has sat on the table for 30 days with the effective
date to be July 1, 2007.
G. Personnel
1. Employment Recommendations
The
Superintendent recommends employment of the following individuals for the
remainder of the 2006-07 school year:

Warren
Hertz to deliver food from the District Freezer to the five cafeterias and to
inventory contents of freezer @ $9.40 per hour, effective December 11, 2006
·
Penny
Tripp as secretary at the Alternative School, effective December 11, 2006 on
salary scale C2, level 2, 200 days, 8 hours a day
·
Robyn
Jermyn at Long Beach Middle School as 6th grade Reading teacher,
effective January 2, 2007, replacing Judy Dunlap.
·
Amy
Closson as Fast Forward Lab Supervisor at Long Beach Middle School, effective
January 2, 2007, pending successful completion of the Work Keys test. She replaces Angela Yarborough.
